Terms of Service

These terms cover the Moxie Recipes app and website, run by Jakie Studios LLC. Using either means you accept them.

Recipes from other people

When you save a recipe from a video or website, Moxie Recipes keeps the ingredients and steps for you, in our own words, with the creator’s name and a link back to the original. It never downloads or keeps the video. Saved recipes are private to your household. Only save recipes you’re allowed to access, and support the creators you cook from.

The AI can be wrong

Moxie Recipes uses AI to read recipes, convert units and scale quantities. It gets things wrong sometimes: a misheard quantity, a step out of order, a conversion that rounds the wrong way. Quantities it had to guess are marked. Check anything that matters before you cook, especially for baking.

Food safety and allergies

Recipes come from other people and from AI; we don’t test them. Cook food to safe temperatures, and check ingredients yourself if you have allergies or a special diet. Nothing in the app is medical, health or dietary advice.

Wine

Wine suggestions are for people of legal drinking age where they are. Please drink responsibly.

Subscriptions

• Moxie Recipes is free to use, with a limited number of recipes from videos. Recipes from websites and typed recipes are free.
• Moxie Recipes Pro, or the Moxie Pass for Moxie Recipes, Moxie Vino and Moxie Menu together, unlocks unlimited video recipes and the rest of the paid features. Prices are shown in the app before you buy.
• Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID and renew automatically until you cancel. Cancel any time in your iPhone’s Settings, at least 24 hours before the period ends.
• If a free trial is offered, any unused part of it is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under their policy, not by us.

Your content

Your recipes, photos, notes and lists remain yours. You give us permission to store and process them so the app can do its job. Do not upload anything you do not have the right to upload.

Fair use

Do not abuse the service: no scraping, no reselling recipes or output, no attempts to get around limits or break the app. We can suspend accounts that do.

Availability and liability

The service is provided as-is. We do not guarantee it will always be available or error-free, and to the extent the law allows, Jakie Studios LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
